PumpNSeal comments please....

Just got mine and with the initial tests Im hugely impressed.Just punch a hole in any used jar with a sealed type lid,add a seal tab and pump.It takes a super vacuum and I havent lost a seal yet, very impressive. In fact that seal is so tight Mrs. has trouble opening a sealed jar.

What has your experience been with it?

Mightyspuds, thanks for the report because I'm thinking about a purchase.
I like the idea of re-using old store bought jars and lids plus all the extra regular canning jars we have.
Good for resealing jars that contain powders that readily absorb moisture like powdered milk,Gatorade, and bouillon powder.

the pumpNseap is excellant, ive used mine a great deal and it really works. i dry alot of veggies from the garden and store them in glass jars using the pumpNseal--it works great.

i bought alot of extra little tab thingys, but i read on another forum that you can use a bit of black electrical tape just fine if you run out of the original stuff. i havent tried that yet as ive not needed to--when a jar is emptied, i just refill it with the same tab on and it still works great.

its a great little invention.

I like mine. I do not think it pulls nearly as hard a vacuum as foodsaver, but for resealing unused things that you might not use soon enough to keep moisture or other decay away, I think it is great.

Like if I opened a #10 can of tomato powder I would use the foodsaver to make smaller packages if I had power, but if I opened salt or sugar I would likely seal it with the pump and seal for not turning to rock. We use little of each, but I read the tomato powder turns to rock much faster than brown sugar once opened.

And it is a nice way to keep anything you won't consume in a month fresh and insect free.
